Jo Walker-Meador was a prominent American music executive renowned for her long-term role as Executive Director of the Country Music Association (CMA) from 1962 to 1991. She was instrumental in creating the first Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, which opened in 1967, as well as launching the prestigious CMA Awards the same year. Additionally, she initiated the Fan Fair festival in 1972, which later evolved into the CMA Music Festival. Her contributions to the industry were recognized when she was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1995.
