Joel Mark Noe was a renowned plastic surgeon at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. He founded one of the first burn units and argon laser programs in the U.S. Specializing in burn care and laser treatment for birthmarks, Noe contributed significantly to the field with numerous publications. He served as an assistant clinical professor at Harvard Medical School and was involved in volunteer corrective surgeries in Latin America. In memory of his legacy, a youth basketball league in Brookline is named after him. He passed away from cancer in 1991.
