Prof. Dr. Ir. Joenil Kahar, born on June 1, 1938, is an Indonesian educator and geodesist. He served as the Vice Rector of Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and was a Professor of Geodesy at several universities, including ITB, Itenas, and Universitas Sangga Buana. He also held a Guest Professor position at Nagoya University, Japan. Kahar was the Head of the National Survey and Mapping Coordinating Agency (Bakorsurtanal) from 1999 to 2002 and served as the Chairman of the Geomatika Council.
