Joey Sellers is an American trombonist, composer, and arranger in modern jazz, born in 1962 in Phoenix, Arizona. He graduated from Arizona State University and worked as a freelance musician in New York City and Los Angeles. He became an assistant professor of jazz studies at Northern Illinois University and is currently the director of jazz studies at Saddleback College, California. Sellers has recorded multiple albums, including 'Jazz Aggregation' for the Nine Winds label, and has collaborated with prominent jazz musicians while contributing composition work to several orchestras and ensembles.
