Johan Ekelund is a Swedish music producer, bassist, and keyboardist born on April 16, 1960, in Stockholm. He played in various groups in Täby during the late 1970s and early 1980s, including Dave and The Mistakes and P3. In 1982, he began collaborating with Mauro Scocco and became a member of Ratata from 1983 until their activity as a duo concluded in 1989. Ekelund and Scocco have continued to work together in various capacities, particularly with their record label Diesel Music. He is also a sought-after producer.
