John Bernard Nathman, born on April 11, 1948, in San Antonio, Texas, is a retired admiral of the U.S. Navy. He served as the Vice Chief of Naval Operations from 2004 to 2005. Following that role, he was the commander of the U.S. Fleet Forces Command from 2005 to 2007. During his time in command, he also led the U.S. Atlantic Fleet from 2005 to 2006, playing significant roles in naval operations and leadership.
