John Picton Gorell Barnes, the 5th Baron Gorell, is a British Chartered Surveyor born on July 29, 1959. He is a liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Weavers and a Freeman of the City of London. Educated at King's School in Somerset and Cornwall Technical College in Camborne, he married Rosanne Duncan in 1989 and has two children. Barnes became the 5th Baron Gorell in 2007, succeeding his uncle Timothy Barnes, the 4th Baron Gorell. He currently resides in Northamptonshire.
