John Brannen, born on January 18, 1974, is an American basketball coach with experience in prominent roles at multiple universities. His most recent position was as a program analyst and senior special assistant for the University of Dayton Flyers. Brannen served as head coach for the University of Cincinnati Bearcats and Northern Kentucky University Norse. He also spent nine seasons as an assistant coach under Anthony Grant at VCU and Alabama, during which he took on the role of interim head coach for Alabama in the 2015 National Invitation Tournament.
