John Cannon Few is a justice of the South Carolina Supreme Court, elected in February 2016. He graduated from Duke University and the University of South Carolina School of Law. Few served as the athletic mascot at Duke and was involved in law review. Beginning his legal career as a law clerk, he later practiced privately before becoming a trial judge. He became Chief Judge of the South Carolina Court of Appeals in 2010, before joining the Supreme Court in 2016, filling the vacancy left by Costa M. Pleicones.
