John Massey Cashore is a United Church minister and former political figure in British Columbia. Born on March 26, 1935, in Lethbridge, Alberta, he represented the New Democratic Party in the Legislative Assembly from 1986 to 2001. He served in various ministerial roles, including Minister of Aboriginal Affairs and Minister of Environment, Lands and Parks. Cashore was educated at the University of British Columbia and Union College, married in 1961, and moved to Coquitlam in 1973. In 2005, he joined the advisory council for the Georgia Strait Alliance.
