John Clayton Taylor, born on August 4, 1930, is a distinguished British theoretical physicist and professor of mathematical physics at the University of Cambridge. He earned his PhD in 1956 under the supervision of Abdus Salam at Imperial College London. Taylor served as a lecturer in theoretical physics at Imperial College from 1957 to 1961 and later at Cambridge, where he was a professor from 1980 to 1995. He has made significant contributions to quantum field theory and particle physics.
