John Walter Cole is a former Australian rugby union international born on September 20, 1946, in Sydney. He played as a winger for Randwick and was part of four premiership teams. Cole earned 24 caps for the Wallabies, debuting against the All Blacks in 1968 and participating in all four Test matches during a tour of South Africa. He concluded his international career in 1974 during the Bledisloe Cup. In 1975, he transitioned to rugby league with Eastern Suburbs but did not compete in NSWRFL first-grade games.
