John Brantley Crawley was an American jurist and lawyer born on February 28, 1940, in Troy, Alabama. He graduated from The University of Alabama and its School of Law. Crawley served as a law clerk, then as an Assistant Attorney General, and later practiced law in Troy. Notably, he helped establish a nonprofit for handicapped students. Appointed as Circuit Judge in 1991, he later joined the Court of Civil Appeals in 1995, also contributing to judicial committees and authoring legal publications. He passed away on June 4, 2013.
