Jock James Hamilton Dalrymple is a Scottish former first-class cricketer born on 14 October 1957. He is the son of Sir Hew Hamilton-Dalrymple and Lady Anne-Louise Mary Keppel, and was educated at Ampleforth College and Queen's College, Oxford. At Oxford, he made three first-class cricket appearances in 1978, securing 27 runs and taking 7 wickets, with best figures of 3 for 34. After graduating, he became a Catholic priest. He is related to historian William Dalrymple and a cousin of Virginia Woolf.
