John Edward Jones, also known as J. E. Jones, was a prominent politician and one of the early figures of the Plaid Cymru party. Born on December 10, 1905, in Melin y Wig, Merionethshire, he served as General Secretary of the party from 1930 until 1962. He was a co-founder of the 'Cymdeithas y tair G' and played a significant role in organizing various campaigns during his political career. Despite his contributions, he resigned from his role due to ill health in 1962. Jones passed away on May 30, 1970.
