John Robert Eibner was an American football tackle born on March 13, 1914, in Elyria, Ohio. He played for the University of Kentucky Wildcats team during 1938 to 1940, serving as captain in 1940. Eibner pursued a professional career in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles, participating in 30 games from 1941 to 1946. His football career was interrupted by World War II service. Post-football, he contributed to the University of Florida in various roles, including as an assistant coach and fundraiser, until his death at age 59 on November 23, 1973.
