He is one of the most influential figures of the Norte del Valle cartel and considered one of the most violent enforcers under boss Diego Montoya. Cano acted as the right-hand man to Hernando Gómez Bustamante and wielded significant influence in regions such as Cartago, Obando, Cali, and Bogotá. Before his arrest, he collaborated closely with other notable cartel members.
