John Ernst Schumann is a Danish businessman born on March 22, 1948. He is the son of circus director Ernst Schumann and actress Tove Boetius. After graduating in 1967 from Herlufsholm and training as a civil economist, he married Tessa Germaine De Dessus Le Moutier from the French circus family Bouglione. In 1978, he moved to France, where he served for 25 years as director of subsidiaries of Gøl Pølser and later Tulip. Since 1999, Schumann has been involved in breeding Lipizzaner horses.
