John Fitzsimons was a Scottish footballer and medical doctor, born on 3 March 1915. He played as an outside left, primarily for Celtic F.C., while also pursuing a medical career. He served as Celtic's club physician for 34 years, and worked with the Scotland national team. His playing career included stints at Alloa Athletic, Clyde, and Falkirk, particularly during World War II. His medical service earned him a knighthood from Pope Paul VI. Fitzsimons passed away on 3 September 1995.
