John Gwilym Jones (born December 16, 1936) is a Welsh poet and minister from Newcastle Emlyn, Ceredigion. He graduated with first-class honors in the Welsh language from Aberystwyth University and lectured in Middle Welsh at Dulyn University for a year. He studied Theology in Swansea and served as a minister for over forty years. Jones was also an editor and a member of various committees, including the hymnbook steering committee. Notably, he held the title of Archdruid from 1993 to 1996 and served as the Keeper of the Circle from 2005 to 2010.
