He was one of the earliest artists at the Walt Disney Company and contributed to several classic animated films such as Dumbo, Peter Pan, and Cinderella. After Walt Disney's death in 1966, he played a significant role in the development of Disneyland theme parks. Hench was the official illustrator of Mickey Mouse, creating artwork for the character's major anniversaries.
