John Hesla (born March 18, 1947, died October 16, 2014) was a Norwegian musician renowned for his work as a guitarist, flutist, singer, and songwriter. He co-founded the rock band Flax in 1971, remaining with them until their dissolution in 1986. His career also included stints in the band Høst from 1976 to 1978 and the short-lived band Klondike from 1988 to 1991. He also served as a music teacher for individuals with developmental disabilities before passing away after a brief battle with cancer.
