John Kenneth Hulm (1923–2004) was a British-American physicist and engineer renowned for his contributions to superconducting materials, particularly A-15 superconducting alloys. Educated at the University of Cambridge, he worked on radar during WWII and earned his PhD on superconductors. His significant discoveries during his tenure at the University of Chicago and later at Westinghouse Electric Corporation led to breakthroughs in superconductivity, notably with niobium-tin alloys. He retired in 1988 after a distinguished career, leaving behind a legacy of scientific contributions and a family.
