John S. Kanzius (March 1, 1944 - February 18, 2009) was an American inventor and radio and television engineer. He owned a radio station named K3TUP in Pennsylvania. Kanzius invented a method that has the potential to treat cancer, inspired by his personal battle with the disease. Additionally, he created a device that produces flammable hydrogen from a saltwater solution using radio waves, which was referred to in the media as 'burning salt water'. Both inventions involve the use of a radio frequency transmitter.
