John Kongshaug (born March 14, 1922, in Trondheim; died 1995) was a Norwegian guitarist and violinist primarily active in jazz (swing) music. He worked as a violinist in the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra and became a prominent swing-style guitar soloist in the late 1940s, playing with various jazz groups in Trøndelag and Oslo. He moved to Sweden in 1958, collaborating with notable musicians and performing at prestigious venues in Stockholm. He was also the father of sound engineer and jazz guitarist Jan Erik Kongshaug.
