John Clive Mackintosh, 3rd Viscount Mackintosh of Halifax, born on September 9, 1958, is a British chartered accountant and peer. He received his education at The Leys School and Oriel College, Oxford, where he earned a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. Mackintosh served as a member of the House of Lords from 1980 until 1999, when he lost his seat following the enactment of the House of Lords Act 1999.
