John C. McCaherty is an American politician born on April 6, 1965. He served as a member of the Missouri House of Representatives from 2011 until his resignation on September 16, 2017. A member of the Republican Party, McCaherty decided to resign to pursue a campaign for Jefferson County executive in the November 2018 elections. During his tenure in the state legislature, he contributed to various legislative discussions and initiatives before stepping down to seek higher office.
