John McFall is a British Paralympic sprinter, surgeon, and ESA Project astronaut born on April 25, 1981. After losing his right leg in a motorcycle accident at 19, he transitioned to sprinting, winning medals in the 100m and 200m categories. He became a leading athlete in his disability class by 2007. Additionally, McFall is a qualified surgeon and was chosen by the European Space Agency as the first 'parastronaut' in November 2022 to study the feasibility of adapting space missions for disabled individuals.
