John Angus Montague (1911-1991) was a Canadian violinist and music educator. He studied violin and music pedagogy at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Montague performed with various orchestras, including the Promenade Symphony Concerts and the Royal Alexandra Theatre. He directed the Huronia Symphony Orchestra and taught at the Royal Conservatory for over 50 years, mentoring many students. He was also active in founding youth orchestras and writing violin textbooks with Flora Goulden.
