John Michael Oliver (1939–2021) was an Anglican priest and Archdeacon of Leeds from 1992 to 2005. Educated at Ripon Grammar School and St David's College, he trained for ordination at Ripon Hall, Oxford. Oliver served in various roles including Vicar of St Mary's Church and Ecumenical Officer for the Leeds Metropolitan Council of Churches. He held multiple positions in the church, including Rural Dean and Honorary Canon before becoming Archdeacon. He passed away in 2021 at the age of 81.
