John Anthony Palmer is an English former rugby union international born on 13 February 1957 in Malta. He represented England in three Test matches from 1984 to 1986, primarily as a centre. Palmer participated in the 1984 tour of South Africa and played against Ireland in the 1986 Five Nations, retiring from international rugby later that year at age 29. Additionally, he captained Bath Rugby to victory in the 1985–86 John Player Cup.
