John Percival Morton, also known as Jack Morton, was a prominent British civil servant and police officer born in 1911 and passing in 1985. He served as Assistant Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Defence from 1968 to 1971. Morton's career includes distinguished service in the Indian Police, where he was awarded the Indian Police Medal for gallantry twice in 1935 and 1940. He was appointed OBE in 1946 and received the CMG honor in 1965 for his contributions.
