John Povey is an English rock musician born on August 20, 1944, in London. He started his career as a drummer with The Fenmen. In early 1967, he followed guitarist Wally Waller to join the Pretty Things as their keyboardist, contributing to all their studio albums from 'Emotions' onwards. Due to health issues, he stopped performing with the band in 2007. In 2008, he revived The Fenmen with Wally Waller, releasing the album 'Sunstroke', which featured rare tracks from the 1960s and new songs.
