Born on March 31, 1942, he has notably won the United States Blitz GAYP title at the American Checker Federation National Championship in 2011. Webster has claimed the North Carolina Checkers Championship eleven times and has represented the United States in international competitions, including the World Checkers/Draughts Championship in England (1989) and Las Vegas (2005), as well as the World Qualifier Checkers Tournament in Italy (2011).
