John H. Reuther was an American accordionist and instrument builder born on March 17, 1905, in Britain. He is known for patenting his own uniform keyboard system for the accordion in 1940. Reuther also published one of the first guides for repairing and maintaining accordions. His contributions to the world of accordion music and instrument design have made a lasting impact on musicians and builders alike. He passed away on August 9, 1984, in New York, United States.
