John Rost, born on March 28, 1944, is a notable former British ice hockey player known for his time with teams such as the Brighton Tigers, Wembley Lions, and Streatham Redskins from 1962 to 1982. He was inducted into the British Ice Hockey Hall of Fame in 1991 and also served as a coach and manager for Streatham. Rost became a member of the British Ice Hockey Association in 1976 and managed both the Great Britain senior and junior teams. He is the son of ice hockey legend Clarence Rost.
