John S. Kolasheski is a retired Lieutenant General of the United States Army, having served in various capacities including commander of the 1st Infantry Division and the V Corps. He entered the Army in 1989 through the ROTC program at Bucknell University. Kolasheski held multiple leadership roles, participated in Operations Desert Strike and Atlantic Resolve, and commanded forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. He achieved the rank of General in July 2015, later commanding the 1st Infantry Division until August 2020, and then the V Corps until his retirement in April 2024. His extensive training includes numerous military courses.
