John Joseph Salisse (1926-2006) was a British director of Marks & Spencer from 1968 to 1985 and an amateur magician. He attended Portsmouth Grammar School and joined Marks & Spencer in 1944, becoming the first non-Jew elected to its board. A devoted magician, he served as Honorary Secretary and Vice-President of The Magic Circle and was notably interested in Jasper Maskelyne. Salisse was married to Meg for 57 years and they had one daughter.
