John Shearer (April 21, 1947 – June 22, 2019) was an American photographer, writer, and filmmaker. He gained recognition for his work in photojournalism, particularly on racial subjects. Shearer is notably remembered for capturing significant moments such as the funerals of John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr., as well as iconic images of Muhammad Ali prior to his famous bout with Joe Frazier.
