John T. Andrews, born on November 8, 1937, is a British geologist and Arctic researcher. He studied at the University of Nottingham and McGill University, earning his bachelor's in 1959 and master's in 1961. Andrews worked for the Canadian government until 1968, obtained his Ph.D. in 1965, and became a professor at the University of Colorado in 1972. He focuses on glacial marine processes in the Arctic and has published extensively. He received the Penrose Medal in 2016 and is a fellow of several scientific organizations.
