John Twomey (born March 2, 1923) is a former American middle- and long-distance runner. He won a silver medal in the 5000 meters and a bronze medal in the 1500 meters at the 1951 Pan American Games held in Buenos Aires. In addition, he secured championships in the United States for the 1500 meters in both 1949 and 1950. His athletic achievements highlight his prominence in American track and field during his competitive years.
