John William Hopkins, known as The Mohawk Valley Ripper, was an American serial killer and kidnapper active in New York's Mohawk Valley from 1972 to 1978. He was convicted for the rapes and murders of at least three women, receiving two 25-to-life sentences for two of these deaths. He served his sentences until his suicide in 2000.
