John Zahner is an American pianist, organist, and keyboardist born on December 29, 1952, in San Luis Obispo, California. He began playing piano at the age of six and later studied at the Shurwood Music School. Zahner has worked with numerous prominent (hard) rock and heavy metal bands, including Alice Cooper and Metallica. Since 1980, he has been active as a keyboard and synthesizer player in various bands. He owns and programs several Moog Synthesizers and continues to contribute to the music scene with Stormbringer and other projects.
