Johnny C. J. Lin (林宗仁), born on October 31, 1947, in Banqiao District, New Taipei City, Taiwan, was a renowned Taiwanese musician, qin player, and actor. He gained popularity for his role as 'Mao Bo' in the hit film 'Cape No. 7', released in 2008. This role earned him widespread recognition and the nickname 'Mao Bo'. An accomplished artist, Lin was also passionate about traditional Chinese music and dedicated much of his time to playing the Beiguan Yueqin, a traditional instrument, having studied Northern Taiwan music since childhood.
