John Joseph Papalia, known as Johnny Pops Papalia or 'The Enforcer', was a prominent Canadian crime boss operating the Papalia crime family in Hamilton, Ontario. Born into an Italian immigrant family, he began with petty crimes, advancing to drug trafficking and gambling operations. Papalia had connections with the Buffalo crime family and was involved in the French Connection drug smuggling. His criminal career ended when he was murdered in 1997 by a hitman associated with the Musitano crime family.
