Jon Lomøy is a Norwegian diplomat and ambassador, born on July 21, 1953, in Moholt. He earned his cand.polit. degree and completed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' aspirant program in 1982. Lomøy served as a deputy director at Norad from 1989 to 1996, and then as the ambassador to Zambia until 2000. He also held positions in Malawi and later returned to Norad. In 2006, he became Norway's ambassador to Tanzania and led the OECD's Development and Cooperation department from 2010. He was the director at Norad from 2015 to 2019.
