Jon Owen is a former American luge athlete born on December 13, 1963, in Berlin, New Hampshire. He was active in singles luge during the late 1980s and competed in the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, Canada, where he finished in 23rd place. He was notable for being the first to use the luge track for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Park City, Utah. After retiring from competitive luge, Owen worked as a development chief and coordinator for the U.S. Luge Association and contributed to designing a sled for people with disabilities in 2003.
