Jon Per Nygård is a former Norwegian biathlete born on May 28, 1967. He competed in the Biathlon World Cup from the early 1990s until 1995 and later participated in the Biathlon European Cup. Nygård won a gold medal in the relay event at the Summer Biathlon World Championships in 1997. He ranked 13th in the sprint and 25th in the pursuit at the 1998 Summer World Championships. His best season was in 2002/03, where he won an individual race in Ål and finished third overall in the standings.
