Jón Sveinbjørn Jónsson was a Norwegian poet, children's writer, and translator, originally from Iceland. His literary career began in 1973 with the poetry collection Manus. He authored notable children's books including Pelle Parafins Bøljeband: Serum, serum (1981) and Håkon Håkonsson (1990). Jónsson was also a member of the poetic activist group 'Stuntpoetene' in the 1980s, collaborating with several other writers. He was born on June 28, 1955, and passed away on November 21, 2008.
