Jonathan E. Aviv, born on August 24, 1960, is a prominent American otolaryngologist and head and neck surgeon. He serves as a professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and is the Clinical Director of the Voice and Swallowing Center at ENT and Allergy Associates in New York. Renowned for his contributions, he invented the Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing with Sensory Testing (FEESST) and developed Transnasal Esophagoscopy (TNE), both enhancing the assessment of swallowing disorders without invasive procedures. He previously directed the division of head and neck surgery at Columbia University.
